Revcor, a family-owned industry leader based in Carpentersville, Illinois, is the engine behind some of the world’s most efficient airflow products. Operating across the US and Mexico, they manage a massive catalog ranging from 1-piece fan blades to heavy-duty blower wheels for over 2,000 global customers.
Their partnership with IFS began in 2010, navigating through versions 7.5, 8, 9, and currently Apps 10. In 2021, Revcor reached a turning point: they needed to replace an aging, rigid scanner system with something more agile. They chose Novacura Flow because it offered a low-code layer that could sit on top of IFS, allowing them to build user-friendly mobile apps without complex ERP modifications. Today, Revcor operates over 40 specialized applications—covering everything from inventory and production reporting to forecasting and CRM proposals.
The Infrastructure Ceiling
As Revcor’s digital ecosystem expanded to over 100 active users, their technical requirements evolved. The “Flow Classic” infrastructure had served as a reliable foundation for years, but as the company looked toward IFS Cloud, it became clear that they had reached an “Infrastructure Ceiling.”
The challenge was not the functionality of the apps, but the need for a modern architectural bridge. To prepare for the eventual move to IFS Cloud, Revcor needed to move away from the “Classic” server-client model which lacked the web-based orchestration required for Cloud environments. Administrative friction—such as limited admin licenses and manual environment management—meant that as the company grew, the effort to maintain the system grew with it. The migration was not about fixing a problem, but about “cleaning up the landscape” to ensure the platform could scale alongside their global operations.
Flow Classic was the engine that brought Revcor into the mobile era. However, to reach the next peak — IFS Cloud — a more sophisticated flight deck was required. The move to Flow Connect is about future-proofing the integration layer.
The Strategic Migration to Flow Connect
The bridge to the future was a 4-month migration project (June–September 2025). This was a collaborative “uplift” effort between Revcor and Novacura, designed to modernize the backend without disrupting the shop floor.
The technical transition involved several “Sage-level” maneuvers:
-
Identity Modernization: Replacing PIN-based server logins with MS365 and Azure AD authentication, providing a single sign-on (SSO) experience for the first time.
-
Flow Hub Orchestration: Implementing the Flow Hub as the “Central Brain,” allowing for seamless promotion of application packages across environments.
-
The Uplift Process: Novacura and Revcor developers held weekly sessions to address technical hurdles, such as reimplementing specific “Run-as” user properties and updating deprecated Flow Script syntax to ensure performance remained high.

A Scalable Foundation
By September 2025, the migration was complete, delivered on time and within budget. Revcor is now operating on a platform designed for the next decade of manufacturing.
Measurable Gains & Strategic Wins:
-
Administrative Freedom: Unlimited Admin User licenses mean Revcor’s technical team can grow and innovate without artificial bottlenecks.
-
Granular Governance: Using App Packages, admins can now control access with surgical precision, ensuring the right users have the right tools.
-
User Experience: New features like “Favorite Apps” and unified logins have streamlined daily operations for over 100 users.
-
IFS Cloud Ready: Revcor has successfully decoupled their custom logic from the ERP core, making the final leap to IFS Cloud a matter of configuration rather than a massive redevelopment project.
Revcor didn’t just move to a new version; they built a future-proof integration layer that turns ERP complexity into a competitive advantage.

Summary: Enabling the "Cloud-First" Manufacturing Era
The transition from Novacura Flow Classic to Flow Connect at Revcor is a masterclass in proactive digital evolution. Rather than reacting to a system failure, Revcor’s leadership recognized that their growing sophisticated ecosystem—now exceeding 40 applications—required a more modern architectural foundation to support their global scale and imminent move to IFS Cloud.
The Strategic Transition at a Glance
-
The Journey: Revcor’s success with Novacura began in 2021 as a way to replace rigid, legacy scanning with agile mobile apps. As their digital footprint grew across the US and Mexico, the transition to Flow Connect became the natural next step to align with modern web-based standards.
-
The Solution: A 4-month strategic “uplift” (June–September 2025) that introduced Flow Hub for centralized orchestration and Azure AD/MS365 for enterprise-grade security and authentication.
-
The Outcome: A future-proof environment delivered on time and within budget, ensuring that Revcor’s integration layer is as innovative as the airflow products they manufacture.
Evolutionary Business Impacts
-
Administrative Scalability: By moving beyond the Classic licensing model, Revcor now enjoys unlimited Admin User access, allowing their internal technical team to innovate without artificial bottlenecks.
-
Modernized Governance: The introduction of “App Packages” allows for surgical precision in user permissions, transforming how the company manages its 100+ active Flow users.
-
Operational Fluidity: With Flow Hub, the transition of flows between DEV, TEST, and PROD is now a seamless, centralized process, significantly reducing time-to-value for new shop-floor improvements.
-
IFS Cloud Readiness: By adopting Flow Connect today, Revcor has effectively de-risked their future ERP upgrade, ensuring their low-code applications are already “Cloud-native” in their communication and architecture.
