During FLOW Portal training you will enter the world of Novacura Portal2. Join us to discover the art of data visualization and how to initiate flow applications directly from the portal. Plus, discover the versatility of our low-code drag-and-drop elements, creating dynamic dashboards for a wide range of business functions. Training Material: Utilizing and interactive training platform, the content is designed for an engaging and effective learning experience.

Required skills

Basic familiarity with Novacura Flow Studio (workflows creation & administration)

 

Basic familiarity with database concepts and technologies, basic exposure to SQL queries.

Training environment

Novacura will supply the necessary Novacura Flow Server and database environment for the training through our cloud infrastructure.

 

To ensure seamless participation, students are expected to have:

 

  • modern Windows computer with MS Teams preinstalled and the necessary permissions required to install Flow Studio (or have it installed before training starts)
  • reliable internet connection with a minimum speed of 10 Mb/s is essential to guarantee a smooth training experience.
  • Chrome or Edge browser (chromium)

Agenda

The training will cover following topics:

  • Understanding of filters and listeners
  • Introduction to Flow and Portal
  • General settings (e.g. Presentation mode, List of Values)
  • Introduction to most portlets
  • Limitations and advantages of the Portal vs other BI tools

 

The Training will consist of the theoretical information as well as of practical exercises performed by students

Scheduled teacher-led training

 

Designed for beginners or those seeking guided learning, our teacher-led training offers a classroom experience. A teacher navigates you through the material, addresses questions, and explores practical scenarios, ensuring a deep and interactive learning journey.

Participants gather on Microsoft Teams for introductions and to familiarize themselves with the training tools and resources, ensuring a seamless start. The Teams channel is available all day for queries and discussions, with the teacher monitoring each participant’s progress for a successful learning outcome.

A recap session before lunch encourages discussion, feedback, and goal-setting for the training day, keeping everyone aligned. This hybrid learning model blends self-paced with teacher-guided elements, allowing learners to advance at their own pace while still benefiting from direct interaction with the teacher and peers. This approach mitigates stress and boredom, fostering a supportive and engaging training environment.

After the training, you will be able to develop your own Novacura Portal applications. You will be able to create your individual dashboard with plenty of portlets displaying various lists, charts, maps or other visual components. You will also learn how to connect these portlets to data sources and how to add advanced actions by invoking Novacuar Flow workflows from within the portlets.
